I have a few questions about this item, that I hope the Bags Unlimited product specialist or other knowledgeable staff person can answer.

The website states that the CHELMETUV item has a "UV barrier". Is this a film applied to the outside surface, or is the box constructed of a special acrylic formulation with UV filtering characteristics "built-in", so to speak?

How are the 2 pieces of the box locked together?

What is the thickness of the acrylic material?

Please explain why the website states the item is "100% acid-free and archival"--i.e., what does this mean in terms of how this box is constructed and what it is made of? For example, what is used to glue the edges together?

Have the box edges been rounded, or are they sharp?

Thanking you in advance for taking the time to answer my questions. I need to order this, or a similar product, asap, and your answers will help allay my concerns.

The uv is inherent in the acrylic.

Thank you so much. Do you know the thickness of the acrylic material, and if the box edges have been rounded to eliminate sharp edges?
